Work out how many banana mummies you want to make. This recipe is based on 3 bananas for 6 mummies.
Line a tray with nonstick baking paper - make sure this will fit into your freezer.
Peel the bananas and cut them horizontally across. Insert a cake pop stick into the cut end of each banana. Put on the lined tray and freeze for 1 hour.
While they're freezing, prepare the eyeballs! Empty 100g mini marshmallows into a bowl, and cut 6 in half, crossways.
Melt 250g dark chocolate with 2½ tablespoons sunflower oil in a bowl set over a pan of simmering water.
Take the bananas out of the freezer and dip each one in the melted chocolate. Then return them to the tray and press in the halved marshmallows to make the eyes. Return to the freezer for 30 minutes or until set.
Microwave the remaining marshmallows on high for 20-30 seconds, until just melted. Allow to cool so strands form to create a bandage effect. Wrap the bandage strands around each banana with a fork.
For the finishing touch, use chocolate writing icing to dot an eyeball onto the marshmallow halves. Yummy!
