Preparation and Usage

Cooking instructionPan fry: 4-12 MinutesTo enjoy your steak at its bestTake it out of the fridge and remove packaging 10 minutes before cooking. Rub or brush each side of the steak with frying oil and season with sea salt and freshly ground pepper.1. Pre-heat heavy based pan over a high heat.2. Fry the steak for 1 minute on each side.3. Reduce to a medium heat and cook for a further 2-4 minutes (rare), 5-7 minutes (medium), or 8-10 minutes (well done), turning halfway through cooking.4. Remove from pan and allow to rest for 3-5 minutes before serving.These instructions are given as a guideline only as steak thickness will vary slightly.Caution:Always wash hands, surfaces and utensils thoroughly after contact with raw meat.Important:Tesco recommends that meat products are cooked thoroughly. Not suitable for microwave cooking. Not suitable for cooking from frozen. If cooked rare there is a small risk that harmful bacteria may be present.

Instructions: Not suitable for microwave cooking.

Shallow Fry

Instructions: PAN FRY: 4-12 minutes. 1. Pre-heat heavy based pan over a high heat. 2. Fry the steak for 1 minute on each side. 3. Reduce to a medium heat and cook for a further 2-4 minutes (rare), 5-7 minutes (medium), or 8-10 minutes (well done), turning halfway through cooking. 4. Remove from pan and allow to rest for 3-5 minutes before serving.

Storage

Suitable for freezing. Ideally freeze as soon as possible after purchase but always by 'use by' date shown. Not suitable for cooking from frozen. Defrost thoroughly for a minimum of 24 hours in the fridge. Once defrosted use within 24 hours and do not refreeze. Follow the preparation guidelines above. Keep refrigerated. Once opened, consume within 1 day and by ‘use by’ date shown.
