Preparation and Usage
What you will need: 185g Softened Unsalted Butter; 1 ripe banana, 2 medium eggs, 900g (2lb) greased and lined loaf tin.
What's included: Spiced sponge cake mix, Salted caramel flavour icing mix.
Cooking time: 40 minutes
Method: Oven
Method:
1. Pre-heat the oven to 180⁰C/Fan 160⁰C/Gas 4.
2. Empty the cake mix into a mixing bowl and add eggs and 155g softened unsalted butter.
3. Mix with an electric mixer for 2 minutes until smooth.
4. Mash 1 ripe banana, add to the mix and fold in.
5. Pour the mixture into the tin and bake in the oven for 40 minutes until risen and golden brown.
6. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely before transferring on to a cooling rack.
7. Empty the icing mix sachet into a bowl and add 30g softened unsalted butter.
8. Whisk until the icing is light and fluffy.
9. Use the icing to decorate as desired.
