Preparation and Usage
Serves 12
cooking time: 10-11 minutes
You will need: 75g softened unsalted butter; 6cm round cutter; non-stick baking tray; plain flour for dusting.
Method: Oven
1. Pre-heat the oven to 200°C / 180°C Fan / Gas Mark 6.
2. Place the contents of the shortbread sachet into a large mixing bowl.
3. Add 75g of softened unsalted butter and mix through with a metal spoon until the mixture looks like large breadcrumbs.
4. Bring the mixture together with your hands to make a soft dough.
5. On a lightly floured surface, gently roll the dough out to about 5mm depth.
6. Cut out 12 biscuits with a 6cm round cutter and place on a non-stick baking tray about 2 cm apart.
7. Bake for 10-11 minutes until pale golden in colour, remove from the oven and leave to cool on the baking tray.
