Preparation and Usage
Cauliflower Cheese
Serves 4
Cooking time: 30-35 mins
Method: Hob & Oven
Ingredients:
1 medium cauliflower, cut into florets; 1 pack Tesco Cauliflower Cheese Seasoning (1 sachet Cheese Sauce Powder, 1 sachet Breadcrumb Topping); 300ml semi-skimmed milk; 20g unsalted butter;
Method:
1. Pre-heat oven to 200C/Fan 180C/Gas 6.
2. Bring a large saucepan of water to the boil.
3. Add the cauliflower florets and cook for 5 minutes or until softened, drain.
4. In a medium saucepan, add the cheese sauce powder to the semi-skimmed milk and cook on a medium high heat, stirring continuously until all powder has dissolved.
5. Bring to the boil and simmer until sauce has thickened to desired consistency, approximately 3 minutes.
6. In a microwaveable bowl, melt the butter. Add the breadcrumb topping and stir well.
7. Place the cooked cauliflower into an ovenproof dish, pour over the cheese sauce then bake in the oven for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and sprinkle over the breadcrumb topping.
8. Return to the oven for 10-15 minutes until crisp and golden.
