Really good buy

I think this is a really tasty rice even better is the price. I make mine with Turkey mince some veggies and chicken stock in one pot.
Not wholegrain brown rice
A Tesco Customer
Tesco must have got the decimal point wrong - more likely that there are 1.6g of fiber in each serving rather than 16g! I like that this rice is al dente when ready. However, I would like wholegrain brown rice which seems to be unavailable at all supermarkets.
Not 16.1g of fibre per serving.

It says there is 16.1g of fibre per serving, that can't be right.
Shines when you find the right recipe for it!

Switching to brown rice when you're used to white can take some getting used to as they're very different! Not like pasta when I can hardly tell the difference. I don't particularly like brown rice plain, and I wouldn't have it as an accompaniment to a curry for example, over white rice, but I found a lovely recipe called "extra veg fried rice" by Cookie and Kate to use up some brown rice I'd had in the cupboard for ages. It's really tasty and the brown rice is so much more nutritionally dense than white. I'm so converted I've bought more now! You do need to cook it for much longer than white rice, and It does keep it's "bite", even if you cook it for ages, but I think that's a good thing.
Not as good as real wholegrain rice
A Tesco Customer
I have cooked and enjoyed brown rice for years, but was very disappointed by this easy cook version. Please, please could you offer 1Kg packets of proper wholegrain rice, which you do not seem to have available online at present. The 'easy cook' is very inferior. Thank you.
Inedible, so I had to throw it away
A Tesco Customer
It is upsetting to have to throw away food but I had to. This rice is, for me, inedible. How can anyone take a simple product and make it so unpalatable? It stays gritty, no matter how long it is cooked. Tesco should take all of it off the shelves. Almost all of the entire 1kg packet that I bought had to go in the bin.
Excellent rice. 25 mins on the hob pour out, rinse
A Tesco Customer
Excellent rice. 25 mins on the hob pour out, rinse with hot water drain leave lid on for five mins then fluff up and eat. Delicious. Full of fibre. Really healthy and wonderful. Leave cold overnight in fridge and makes great stir fry the following day with light soy, peas onions, broccoli, tin tuna, just break up in the hot stir fry with heat off and mix through with soy sauce and cooked peas. You will lover this cheap and nutritious and very easy to make meal. It stretches well and the kids will love it! 😃 Use Tesco tuna in spring water for added health! Kids will love it and waistlines will shrink. Especially if you fry in coconut oil. Extra yum too!

Great nutty taste, good fibre content. My favourite rice: why pay more for a branded product when this tastes so good?
High Fibre Rice.
A Tesco Customer
I bought this rice because of the fibre. 8.7g per 100g is amazing. I was confused why I got constipated with rice because it does actually not have any gluten. When I checked the fibre in white rice which is 0.7, I was shocked. I then checked this and was amazed how much fibre it has. I don't really care if it tastes different. It is by far healthier than white rice. It's the same with white bread vs wholegrain bread. My advice is to leave white rice and get use to brown rice that has a lot of fibre.
