The vineyard located in Gualtallary, 1,300 meters above sea level with calcium rich stony soils combined with the cold climate and wide diurnal temperature range result in grapes that ripen slowly and evenly, with excellent concentration, vibrant acidity, and mineral structure.

Vinification Details

This Malbec is sourced from a single vineyard located in Gualtallary, one of the most prestigious areas of the Uco Valley and reflects the true character of an extreme-altitude terroir with fine-toast French oak aging (12 months) adding subtle layers of vanilla, cedar, and dark chocolate.

History

A privately held family-owned winery in Mendoza, Argentina, led by Stephen Huse, Founder and Winemaking Director - Who received his formal training at the University of Bordeaux and is a strong believer of the terroir effects on the quality of grape, as well as using these different characteristics of soils and climate to guide the wine growing and vinification process.
