Preparation and Usage

Cooking instructions- Remove all packaging, discarding the absorbent pad.- Pat dry and add salt on the rind. Allow the joint to rest at room temperature for 20 minutes prior to roasting.- After 20 minutes, pat the rind dry.Oven1 hr 35 mins- Place the joint onto a wire rack on a roasting tray and place in the centre of a pre-heated oven at 230°C/Fan 210°C/Gas 8 for 20 minutes, to allow crackling to become crispy.- After 20 minutes, reduce the heat to 160°C/Fan 140°C/Gas 3, remove joint from the oven and allow to cool for five minutes.- Place the joint back into the centre of the oven and cook for a further one hour.- Finally, increase the temperature to 230°C/210°C Fan/Gas 8 for 10 minutes to finish off the crackling.- Allow to rest for 10 minutes before serving.- Remove strings before carving.CautionThis product contains raw meat. Always wash hands, surfaces and utensils after contact with raw meat.ImportantNot suitable for microwave cooking. Not suitable for cooking from frozen. All appliances vary, these are guidelines only. Place the joint onto a wire rack on a roasting tray and put in the center of a preheated oven at 230C/Fan 210C/Gas 8 for 20 minutes, to allow crackling to become crispy. After 20 minutes, reduce the heat to Oven 160°C/Fan 140°C/Gas Mark 3, remove joint from the oven and allow to cool for five minutes. After 5 minutes, place back into the centre of the oven and cook for a further one hour Finally, increase the temperature to 230°C / 210°C Fan / Gas Mark 8 for 10 minutes to finish off the crackling. Allow to rest for 10 minutes before serving. Remove strings before carving.

Instructions: Not suitable for microwave cooking.

Suitable for freezing. Ideally freeze as soon as possible after purchase but always by 'use by' date shown. Follow the preparation guidelines above.
