Regional Information

The Glera grapes are grown in an area that goes from Conegliano hills to the foot of Valdobbiadene hills. This area is characterized by a mild climate and alluvial clay soils, ideal for enhancing the features of Glera grapes.

Vinification Details

The grapes are picked arond mid-September when analysis show correct acidity and good minerality. Then they are gently pressed and the must is separated from the skins and then cleaned. The first fermentation occurs in steel tanks with the addition of selected yeasts. In according to the Martinotti method the second fermentation takes place in cuve close at a controlled temperature of 14°C in order to preserve the primary aromas of the grapes.

History

The Bottega wine range includes Prosecco, including the well-known Bottega Gold, and other sparkling wines with great personality. Amarone, Ripasso, Chianti Gallo Nero, Brunello di Montalcino and other great red wines are produced in separate wineries in Valpolicella, Chianti and Montalcino. Sustainability is paramount for Bottega and a commitment towards the environment has always been in the company's DNA, through recycling, reducing and reusing.
