Preparation and Usage

This product is fully prepared and can be cooked in its packaging.

For best results we recommend cooking in the bag.

Pierce the bag once where indicated on front of pack before cooking.

Follow the preparation guidelines stated below

Make sure the bag does not touch the oven walls, shelves or heating element.

Take care when removing the chicken from the oven as there will be some hot juices within the foil tray and packaging.

Be careful when opening the bag as steam will escape.

Once opened, use immediately.

Oven

Instructions: Temperature: 200°C, Fan 180°C, Gas 6Time: 45-50 mins per kilo plus 20-30 minsOven 1. Pre-heat the oven. 2. Pierce the bag where indicated. Place the chicken in its packaging on a baking sheet and cook in the centre of the oven for the time indicated on the front of the bag. 3. To brown the chicken: 20 minutes before the end of total cooking time, carefully remove the chicken from the oven and using a pair of scissors cut open the full length of the bag and expose the chicken. Please be careful when removing the chicken from the oven and opening the bag as it will contain steam and hot juices. Return to the oven to brown for a further 20 minutes. 4. Allow the chicken to stand in the packaging in a warm place for approximately 10 minutes prior to serving. Tip: For crispier skin taste baste with the cooking juices after opening the bag. Return to the oven and cook for further 20 minutes.

Storage

Suitable for freezing. Ideally freeze as soon as possible after purchase but always by 'use by' date shown. Once defrosted use within 24 hours and do not refreeze. Follow the preparation guidelines above. Defrost thoroughly for a minimum of 24 hours in the fridge. Keep refrigerated below 4°C.
