About Whoosh
Whoosh is our rapid delivery service – we’ll aim to deliver from our store to your door from as little as 45 minutes. You can choose from a range of popular products, including fresh food, Meal Deals, everyday must-haves, baby essentials, household products, and much more.
Payment is taken at the time of checking out an order. If your final order is less than expected, or unavailable, we’ll refund you automatically, you don’t need to do anything. This should be with you in the next 3-5 working days and will be made to the card you paid with.
After you’ve placed your order, just check the Tesco Ireland Grocery & Clubcard app or the groceries home page to see your delivery updates. You will then see an estimate of when your delivery will be arriving. Estimated delivery times will vary based on your store and location.
As Whoosh orders are delivered from as little as 45 minutes, you can’t change or cancel your order after you've checked out.
Using my Clubcard with Whoosh
You'll collect Clubcard points on all the products in your Whoosh order. For every €1 spent, you'll get 1 Clubcard point. You won't collect Clubcard points on delivery or other charges. Clubcard Prices will be automatically applied to qualifying products. Your Clubcard will automatically apply at the checkout. You can use Clubcard vouchers and eCoupons for Whoosh orders. Clubcard vouchers have a 12-digit online code that can be used on tesco.ie and the app for Whoosh orders. You can’t use Clubcard vouchers for baby formula, pharmacy products, and gift vouchers.
Minimum spend and charges for Whoosh
You don’t need to spend a certain amount to place an order. But if your basket is under €15, we’ll charge you an additional €2 on top of our usual pick, pack and delivery charge. The delivery charge does not count towards the minimum spend.
If there are items unavailable in your order when it is picked and this brings you below €15, you won’t be charged €2.
What to expect when you place an order with Whoosh
As we deliver from as little as 45 minutes, you can’t change or cancel your order after you've checked out. We use third-party partners to deliver your order. Depending on the size of your order, we'll deliver by bike, motorcycle, or car. For apartment blocks, we’ll deliver to the property’s main entrance.
For hospitals or other public addresses, it is at the rider’s discretion to deliver to the front door or an agreed meeting place.
After you’ve placed your order, just check the Tesco app or your online account to see delivery updates. You’ll be given a time frame when you book your order based on your chosen Whoosh store.We operate an Age Verification policy for age-restricted products such as matches, tobacco, vapes, alcohol and medicines. The Delivery Partner will record your date of birth and may request you to show ID to prove you are over 18.
If proof is not available and there is no-one of that age at the address when delivery is being made, the goods will not be delivered to you. We reserve the right to retain the delivery charge and the cost of any perishable items.
Although we’re removing non-essential bags from online orders, for health and safety reasons we’ll continue to use clear plastic bags for meat, fish and some household cleaning products. This helps to keep these products separate from the rest of your shopping.
There's a problem with my Whoosh delivery
Sometimes, we might not be able to get your order to you, or we might get delayed. If this happens, we’ll call or text you as soon as we can. At times, we may need to suspend the Whoosh service if there are adverse weather conditions. This is to keep our delivery partner drivers safe.
At the moment, doorstep returns aren’t possible with Whoosh delivery.
If there’s an item missing from your delivery, please contact Tesco Customer Services (1800 248 123).
If you’re not at home when we arrive, our delivery partner will try to contact you. If they can’t get hold of you, they will return your order to the store that prepared your order. We reserve the right to retain the delivery charge and the cost of any perishable items.
What to expect when my order is delivered
If your order contains an age-restricted product, the Delivery Partner will ask you for your date of birth regardless of your age. The courier will record your date of birth and deliver the goods.
I'm not home for my delivery
If you’re not at home when we get there, our delivery partner will try to contact you. If they can’t get hold of you, they will return your order to the store and refund you. If you need to change your address, you can do this on the book a slot page before you book your order.
Out of stock items
Sometimes, one or more of your items may not be available when we pick your order, because the item is out of stock, for example. If you find an item is out of stock, you will be refunded for this automatically and will be informed via email. Your receipt should reflect this as well.
If an item you ordered is missing and doesn’t appear as out of stock, please contact Tesco Customer Services (1800 248 123).
Returning items
We'd like you to be happy with everything you purchase from Tesco. Unfortunately, your order or individual products cannot be returned to the Delivery Partner at the point of delivery. If you have changed your mind about any of the products you have ordered, or if you are unhappy with any of the products, please call us on 1800 248 123.
Age-restricted items
If your Whoosh order contains any age-restricted items (including but not limited to tobacco, alcohol, knives or razors) date of birth will be requested regardless of your age.
The Delivery Partner will then record your date of birth and deliver the goods. You may be asked for proof of age. Please get one of the following valid forms of identification ready to prove you’re over 18:A passport
A photocard driving licence
A proof of age card bearing the PASS hologram
A Ministry of Defence Form 90 (Defence Identity Card)
If proof of age is not available and there is no-one of that age at the address when delivery is being made, the goods will not be delivered to you. We reserve the right to retain the delivery charge and the cost of any perishable items. We’ll refund you the price you paid for any non-perishable items.
