Preparation and Usage

To enjoy your steak at its best, take it out of the fridge and remove packaging 10 minutes before cooking. For best results, we recommend pan frying. Rub or brush each side of the steak with frying oil and season with sea salt and freshly ground black pepper. Pan fry: 5-10 mins. Preheat a heavy-based pan on high heat until it is smoking hot and fry the steak for 1 minute on each side to seal the juices. Reduce to medium heat and cook for a further rare 3-4 mins, medium 5-6 mins, well done 7-8 mins, turning halfway through cooking. Remove from the pan and allow to rest for 3-5 minutes before serving.ImportantAll appliances vary, these are guidelines only. We recommend that all meat products are cooked thoroughly. If cooked rare, there is a small risk that harmful bacteria may be present. Not suitable for microwave cooking. Not suitable for cooking from frozen.Caution: Do not reheat. These are guidelines only as steak thickness will vary. Always wash hands, surfaces, and utensils thoroughly after contact with raw meat.

Keep refrigerated 0°C to +5°C at the bottom of the fridge.Use by see front of pack. Keep refrigerated. Once opened, consume within 24 hours and by 'use by' date shown. Suitable for home freezing. Ideally freeze as soon as possible after purchase but always by the 'use by' date shown. Defrost thoroughly for a minimum of 24 hours in the fridge. Once defrosted, use on the same day and do not refreeze.
