Cellier des Princes, based in Courthezon, is a high quality and sole cooperative producing Châteauneuf du Pape since 1925, and one of the leading producers. Our 189 winegrowers are strong defenders of the traditions, rigorous and faithful. So were the Princes of Orange in the XII century. Our own team of agronomists works with them throughout the year. Our selection process is very strict as we only use the best crops in order to guarantee top quality wines.

Vinification Details

The grapes are de-stemmed then fermented in vat for for 4 weeks with pumping over. Fermentation temperature is 25 - 30° C. The wine is then aged in vat for 6 months.

History

Cellier des Princes is the sole and unique co-operative cellar in the Chateauneuf du Pape appellation. Founded in 1925 when a group of winegrowers agreed to team up in the name of fraternity and solidarity. The co-operative today encompasses 240 growers, who combine to produce and deliver almost 750 hectares of grapes every vintage.
