Vinification Details

Harvested at full ripeness, the grapes are destemmed and fermented in stainless steel or concrete tanks at controlled temperatures. Gentle extraction through pump-overs preserves fruit and structure. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged in tanks (sometimes partially in oak) for several months before blending and bottling, ensuring balance, freshness, and aromatic expression.

History

Founded in Bordeaux in 1860, Maison Johanès Boubée is a historic wine merchant combining tradition and modern expertise. The House works closely with winegrowers and estates across France, ensuring a wide and diverse portfolio that ranges from everyday wines to prestigious appellations. With its state-of-the-art facilities, Maison Johanès Boubée manages vinification, ageing, bottling, and distribution with the highest standards of quality.

Regional Information

The Côtes-du-Rhône is one of the oldest and most renowned wine appellations in France, officially established in 1937. Covering more than 30,000 hectares along the Rhône Valley, it stretches from Vienne in the north to Avignon in the south. The vineyards benefit from a Mediterranean climate with hot, sunny summers, the cooling influence of the Mistral wind, and a diversity of soils (pebbles, limestone, clay, and sand), all contributing to the richness and variety of styles.
