Good for you

I use this for a low carb keto diet as I am diabetic. Use with Almond flour recipes, which are available on the internet, and FB. Makes good Muffins and sponges. I haven't tried with wheat flour, only with Almond and Coconut flour. It is more expensive than ordinary sugar, but that due to the bas ingredients which are not cheap and much better for your blood sugar levels and calorie intake
Hopeless!

Thought I'd try this because if was on offer, big mistake! I made a batches of fairy cakes that were flat and heavy but thought it was the flour. I made a second batch with fresh flour that came out the same so the third batch was made using normal caster sugar and the same flour etc, and I got perfect cakes. I will not be buying this again
Not too bad, worth a try.

Used this for sugar free cupcakes and it's not too bad. The cakes rose really well, but did form a pretty thick crust as they cooled. Taste and texture wasn't the same as sugar, but as an alternative it was acceptable and a nice treat for someone who's not been able to have anything sweet for months! I DO NOT recommend the Canderel icing sugar though - that was absolutely gross! I would bake with this product again but would top with cream and fresh fruit which I think would help moisten the sponge rather than try to ice it!
Do NOT buy for baking.

Do NOT buy this for baking! I've been making sponge cakes for 45 years, every one perfect. Had to buy this because no caster sugar available. As soon as i mixed this with the butter, it just went really wet. The cake has hardly risen, i've never had that before, so it must be this Candarel. The price is outrageous aswell!
