Decent kettle

Pleased with it so far, boiled & rinsed out twice - no plastic taste at all, we don’t have milk in tea either. Surprised it is so much quieter than my last more expensive kettle.
No issues

We bought one last week and found no issues with it. Boiler and rinsed it out twice and it was fine, no plastic taste or anything
Horrible taste which can't be got rid of.

Bought one from my local Tescos and it had a horrible taste of plastic which is fairly common with new kettles. So added bi-carb and left for 24 hours, slightly better, but taste returned after a week. 3 months later and 3 attempts at getting rid of the taste but it persists. Nice to look at but suggest steering clear of this one.

The water boiled in this kettle always tastes disgusting plastic synthetic. I have tried scrubbing endless boiling but I can't get rid of the synthetic taste. Works perfectly well.
Horrible plastic taste will not go away
A Tesco Customer
Extremely disappointed also. Bought together with matching toaster. Unfortunately have discarded packaging. Looks beautiful but despite boiling about 20 times and leaving overnight with bicarbonate of soda our tea still tastes horrible. Also wish I had read more before purchasing apparently some research shows chemicals can leak out of plastic kettles so wish I had not purchased. Would definitely not recommend.

Plastic tasting after numerous boils. Nasty

The plastic taste after boiling is horrid. I boiled and emptied it about 7 times and still the nasty plastic taste is there. Not good when you’re having to use so much electricity.
