Created in 1925, Cellier des Princes produces prestigious wines from the Rhône Valley. This cuvée Grande Réserve made with Old Vines, displays an intense and complex nose of red fruits and spices, and is unctuous and long on the palate.

Serve at 15/17°CWith spicy dishes or in sauce, grilled meat, and cheese.

This ruby red coloured wine with purple glints has red fruits aromas and spicy overtones. On the pallet, this wine is smooth and supple. Fruit forward and easy drinking wine showing light spices and silky tannins. A perfect everyday wine.

Vinification Details

The wine undergoes 3-4 weeks fermentation with regular pump overs, in a temperature controlled environment of between 27'c and 32'c. The wine then spends 6 months in concrete tanks.

History

Most of our growers own vineyards of Châteauneuf du Pape and vineyards of Côtes du Rhône. For that reason, the large majority of the grapes used in our Côtes du Rhône have been hand harvested since they can use the same team of harvesters. This way we can offer a superior quality. The grapes are coming from 40 to 50 years old vineyards, which brings personality and concentration to our Côtes du Rhône.

Regional Information

This is the largest AOC and accounts for two thirds of Rhone production. Full bodied reds dominate, but the luscious whites and thirst quenching roses are well worth seeking out. The Roman legions knew about the great wines from this area! With its hot climate, abundant sunshine and the Dentelle Mountains to protect vineyards from the Mistral, the predominately red wines are full, earthy and aromatic.
