  • Vinification at the winery starts with the reception of musts delivered by our member winegrowers. Both alcoholic and malolactic fermentations happens in tank to retain the fresh fruit character of the wine.

History

  • The vineyards of Chablis are among the oldest in France. Down the centuries and the world over, Chablis' white wines, made from the Chardonnay grape, have acquired extraordinary renown. The unique character of the wines derives from the soil; Kimmeridgian which contains greater levels of mineral-rich clay, as well as the essential marine fossils.

Regional Information

  • Chablis, half way between Paris and Beaune, forms the real gateway to Burgundy's treasure-house of wines. Well-marked 4 seasons : rigorous winter, frost spring, hot summer and autumn which offers conditions of optimal maturity for the grape.

It doesn't taste like a Chablis. More like a cheap Sauvignon Blanc. Which is a shame as I bought it for my wife, who can't drink Sauvignon Blancs.

So the Christmas Chablis at Tescos was lovely... this new lot... is pretty poor for the price... It's still too sweet - and not dry enough, especially for a Chablis..! o.O :-/

Tastes like Sauvignon

Used to love this wine but sadly the 2021 has a taste like Sauvignon. Won’t be buying this again but now have 2 cases of this at home wondering what to do with it.

I drink only Chablis from many different vineyards. Tesco finest Chablis 2018, 2019, 2020, were fantastic quality and value. Why does the 2021 Tesco's finest Chablis taste like Sancerre or possibly a cheap Sauvignon blanc?

I'm afraid I was disappointed in this. Chablis is my favourite wine, reserved for Christmas and birthdays due to extra cost. I bought two bottles for Christmas, and it was bland and had absolutely zero of that distinctive Chablis taste that is a treat on special occasions. I haven't even opened the 2nd bottle. My first ever wine complaint! I don't expect to like everything, but this wasn't unpleasant just almost tasteless and nothing like every other Chablis I've had for that distinctive flavour.
