Preparation and Usage
Cleaning and Sterilisation Before first use, place the soother in boiling water for 5 min, allow to cool, and squeeze out any trapped water from the soother. This is to ensure hygiene. Clean before each use. Wash in warm soapy water and rinse in clean water. Dishwasher safe (top shelf only). Do not clean with solvents or harsh chemicals. Suitable for all forms of sterilisation. To sterilise using the case, fill 20ml water up to water level mark and place soother in unit with teat facing down. Close the lid. Microwave 4 minutes (700-1000W). Always use the correct amount of water to avoid damage. Using less than 20ml of water may lead to distortion of items. Heating longer than the recommended time may damage items. Always allow to cool for at least 2 minutes before removing from the microwave. Drain water, take care the case may still be hot. Wash case thoroughly before and after each use and wipe with clean cloth to dry. Always ensure the case is clean and fully dry. This soother case can be sterilised by using boiling water or microwave steriliser units. Soothers will remain sterilised for up to 48 hours*. Storage and Use For hygiene and safety reasons, replace the soother every two months, and before any sign of weakness or damage occurs. Do not store with or allow to come into contact with solvents or harsh chemicals. Never dip the teat in sweet substances or medication, your child may get tooth decay. In the event that the soother becomes lodged in the mouth, DO NOT PANIC; it cannot be swallowed and is designed to cope with such an event. Remove from the mouth with care, as gently as possible. Do not take apart. Keep in a dry, covered container. For your child's safety WARNING! Inspect carefully before each use. Pull the soother in all directions. Throw away at the first signs of damage or weakness. Only use dedicated soother holders tested to EN 12586. Never attach other ribbons or cords to a soother, your child may be strangled by them. Do not leave a soother in direct sunlight or near a source of heat, or leave in disinfectant ("sterilising solution") for longer than recommended, as this may weaken the teat.
