My favourite coffee
Review from NESCAFE
I have bought this since I discovered it a couple of years ago. Not too strong or bitter in fact black with a sweetener or a teaspoon of sugar is just perfect for breakfast lunch or after dinner & anytime during the day when I feel like a comforting cup of coffee.
Not the same coffee anymore.
Review from NESCAFE
As other reviewers have noticed this Nescafe Cap Columbia does not taste anything like the older Nescafe Origins version. I was able to compare both as we still had a jar of the Origins which has a far richer flavour. The new version is neither "fruity or delicate", instead it just tastes bitter like many other (cheap) instant coffees, so the coffee bean it is made from has definitely changed, even if nescafe will not admit it (probably due to cost or availability). If the Origins Cap Columbia becomes available again, do let your lost customers know.
Best coffee ever
Review from NESCAFE
I love this coffee can't seem to buy it anywhere.... I living in heidelberg......
Really nice
Review from NESCAFE
I've had the nescafe original (red lid), nescafe fine blend and I didn't like either. The red lid was too strong and the fine blend was too weak. After a full day I searching on what could be the best coffee that's not too strong or too weak, I bought it , tried it and I loved it. Now I don't drink coffee as all the others I've tried I've hated. It's been too strong. This I love this, not even near half way down the jar and I've bought a fresh jar for my holidays haha! I do love this coffee please never get rid of it!!
Why did Nescafe change iconic Cap Columbia recipe
Review from NESCAFE
Okay so first Nescafe change the Cap Columbi Jar so it wont fit on my shelf, then they change the label so its gold and red so no longer stands out on the supermarket shelf and is apparently part of their insipid gold blend range and change the name to Cap Columbia. What must be a year later they change the label again so its even less stand out on the supermarket shelf but what is TOTALLY UNFORGIVABLE is that they change the taste as well... i am a seasoned Coffee addict I have been drinking this brand since 1988 .... 33 years no instant coffee ever came close and frankly despite the high price it was worth it. I get through a jar a week. I prefer it to every single other brand of instant coffee - I have tried them all and to percolated, espresso and any other type of coffee you care to mention. Nescafe you make or rather made by far the best instant coffee on the market - the coffee drinkers coffee - your iconic Cap Columbi so WHY change it - stop tinkering with this brand and go back to the icon recipe and distinctive red label even if you still keep it as part of the Gold Blend family. Oh and by the way to make it even better - make sure its Fairtrade too ! Thanks for listening.....I seriously hope you are and will go back to old flavour what ever colour label you put on it ! then they change the name to Cap Columbia again
What have you done?
Review from NESCAFE
I have been drinking your origins Cap Columbia for years - I loved the fruity and unique aroma that emerged when the lid was removed and, upon drinking, it didn't disappoint, being flavourable and different. NOW there has been an imposter introduced - gone is the characteristic fruity aroma & taste, leaving a weak, run of the mill and frankly nasty version. Shame on your tasters Nescafé
My 'go to' for coffee in an instant
Review from NESCAFE
Tried them all! I'm a coffee addict and need a fix every hour, when drinking instant Cap Colombia is the perfectly balanced cup, it's smooth and powerful I drink coffee black so can easily tell the wheat from the chaff
What has happened to this!
Review from Tesco
Agree with other reviews, great instant coffee but not longer available in any supermarkets. It’s a pity Tesco do not response to reviews that have asked “what has happened to this product”!
Changed for the worse
Review from NESCAFE
After a period of non-availability, my favourite previously known as Cap Columbie has been renamed Cap Columbia and the flavour has significantly changed from fruity to slightly smoky. Very disappointing and now off my shopping list.
Have you stopped making this coffee
Review from NESCAFE
I have been buying this coffee for over 10 years. It is an excellent product. However it is becoming increasingly difficult to find. Have you stopped making it or decreased production and if so why?
