Nescafe Original is now weak as anything, so I tried this. I thought this would be a lot better because it was a little bit more expensive, but it's just as bad but in a different way: it just has a sour taste. It's "double filter, full flavour" or nothing, for me.

The Best Gold Blend Ever

I bought Nescafé Gold Blend recently, for the first time in years. I was attracted by the redesigned packaging and the addition of a little finely ground coffee. I already knew Gold Blend was an excellent instant coffee. I was impressed Nescafé were trying to evolve Gold Blend, while at the same time, keeping it as the leading premium instant coffee. I think they've succeeded. This new Gold Blend is a great tasting coffee, smooth, rich balanced coffee flavour, and a reassuring aroma. There's a hint of ground coffee flavour, but no bitterness or grounds in the cup. I have tried other premium instant coffee's, but none come near the smooth rich taste of Gold Blend. It's 5 stars from me. Thank you Nescafé

Good flavour when first opened.

Good flavour instant coffee. But it looses flavour after the jar has been open a week or more. So please bring back the smaller jar - for small households. We don't want large sizes - of anything!
Taste has changed (bitter +burnt taste)

Me and my family have always bought this product but the taste has suddenly changed. It tastes really bitter and has a burnt taste to it. Leaves a horrible aftertaste in your mouth. We will probably change are coffee as it isn't pleasent to drink anymore. Which is sad as have been drinking this up to 30 years.
Horrible woody residue.

I have always been a Nescafé gold coffee lover. Recently I have noticed that every cup has a woody residue that ruins the coffee. It's horrible!

I really didn't notice much difference from Nescafé red top - although my other half thought I had used too much sugar, even though it was the usual amount and he noticed that something was different. I would buy again if I couldn't get the red top, but I wouldn't change regularly - I'm at a Nescafé red drinker.
Complaint as very Dissapointed.

I have used/consumed only Nescafe Gold Blend origional coffee for over 40 years for the last several years purchasing the refil packs to fill my Gold Blend Jar. I am now dissapointed as the last two refill packs the coffee has turned slightly bitter which now doese not make drinking this coffee a pleasure anymore and also and the knew refill packs are a terrible design whoever designed these diabolical new packs it make them so difficult to open which can make them easily torn which would make storing the remainder Gold Blend for future use very difficult
