Preparation and Usage

No need to wash poultry before cooking.

This product is fully prepared and can be cooked in its packaging.

For best results we recommend cooking in the bag in an oven.

Pierce the bag where indicated on front of pack before cooking.

Follow the preparation guidelines stated below

Oven

Instructions: Temperature: 190°C, Fan 170°C, Gas 5Time: 45-50 minutes per kilo plus 20-30 minsOven 1. Pre-heat the oven to 190°C / 170°C / Gas 5. For calculated time see front of pack. 2. Pierce the bag where indicated. Place the chicken in its packaging on a baking sheet and cook in the centre of the oven for the time indicated on the front of the bag. 3. To brown the chicken: 20 minutes before the end of total cooking time, carefully remove the chicken from the oven and using a pair of scissors cut open the full length of the bag and expose the chicken. Return to the oven to brown for a further 20 minutes. 4. Allow the chicken to stand in the packaging in a warm place for approximately 10 minutes prior to serving. Tip For crispier skin baste with the cooking juices after opening the bag. Return to the oven and cook for a further 20 minutes.

Storage

Suitable for freezing. Ideally freeze as soon as possible after purchase but always by 'use by' date shown. Follow the preparation guidelines above. Once defrosted use within 24 hours and do not refreeze. Defrost thoroughly for a minimum of 24 hours in the fridge.
