  • Champagne Vintage Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs. Produce of France.
  • With ripe citrus flavours and a delicate mousse, this dry Champagne is made from Chardonnay grapes only, and from the best located vineyards the Grand Cru villages of the Côtes des Blancs. Produced only in the best years, with extra time spent in the cellars which enhances its longevity. Serve it as an aperitif or with smoked salmon blinis.

  • Pressing and fermentation are traditionally carried out, with malolactic fermentation partially blocked to retain crispness. This all chardonnay blend requires extra bottle age which helps to soften and develop its flavours.

History

  • The producer, Union Champagne in Avize, is the largest owner of premier and grand cru grapes in Champagne, owning some 1200 hectares of vines, thus giving them access to the lion's share of the best quality.

bought 2 bottles opened one for my husbands 86th birthday today and was very dissapointed there was no fizz and as we do all our shopping online which is much appreciated not sure if we could return the unopened one . we have put the half of the open bottle in the fridge . we always have tesco wine this is the 1st time we were not happy with it

If you are looking for a meaty vintage champagne which is honeyed and long lasting, don’t buy this one - 2013. We found it a bit thin and too dry. In fact it’s the first time I have given some back!

I like champagne. I especially like this one! Its rounder and smoother than Moet. So I ordered 3 more bottles for my socially distant Christmas party of two of us! (There should be one left for Christmas dinner!)
