Preparation and Usage
Wash before use. Roughly shred, removing core if required.
Hob
Time: 3-4 mins
Place in a pan of boiling water.
Reduce heat and simmer for 3-4 minutes or until tender.
Drain well before serving.
Steam
Time: 10 - 15 mins
Place in a steamer for 10-15 minutes or until tender.
Microwave
800W / 900W 2½ mins / 2 mins
Place in a microwaveable dish and add 3 tablespoons of water.
Cover and cook on full power.
Leave to stand for 1 minute after heating.
Cooking Warnings:
Check food is piping hot throughout before serving.
Chilli Cabbage
Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 red chilli, deseeded and thinly sliced
- 1 garlic clove, sliced
- 1 large sweetheart cabbage, halved, cored and thinly shredded
Method:
Heat the olive oil in a wok or frying pan over a high heat, add the chilli and garlic and fry for 10 seconds. Stir in the cabbage. Add 2 tablespoons water, season and stir-fry for 4-5 minutes until the cabbage is tender.
