Preparation and Usage

BOP: Once opened, use immediately.

Instructions: Temperature: 200°C, 180°C, Gas 6Time: 45 mins per kg + 20 minsPlace chicken in a roasting tin. Cook in the centre of a pre-heated oven for calculated time basting occasionally during cooking. Allow to stand for 5-10 minutes before carving.

Instructions: Side of pack: “how to make the perfect roast chicken”PLEASE ENSURE ALL PACKAGING IS REMOVED BEFORE COOKING1. Remove chicken from bag.2. Rub softened butter over the skin, then season generously with sea salt and cracked black pepper.3. Pierce a lemon and place in the chicken cavity alongside a small bunch of mixed herbs4. Place the chicken in a deep roasting tray and cook according to the pack instructions5. Baste halfway through cooking.6. Once cooked remove from oven and rest for 5-10 minutes before carving7. Use the flavoursome juices from the chicken to make the perfect gravy.

Storage

Suitable for freezing. Ideally freeze as soon as possible after purchase but always by 'use by' date shown. Once defrosted use within 24 hours and do not refreeze. Follow the preparation guidelines above. Defrost thoroughly for a minimum of 24 hours in the fridge. Keep refrigerated below 4°C.
