Terms and Conditions

  1. Tesco for Schools & Clubs (TFS&C) is open to schools and children's sports clubs in the Republic of Ireland only
  2. All schools in the Republic of Ireland can take part in the scheme - pre-school, infant, primary, secondary and special needs.Children's sports clubs can also take part. You need to be registered with your national governing body, and/or the local authority and have the local authority's required health and safety and child protection standards in place.
  3. Applications from organisations other than schools and registered children's sports clubs will not be accepted.
  4. There is no limit to the number of items which may be ordered but TFS&C is restricted to one order per school or club. Second or subsequent orders will not be considered.
  5. The nominal cash value of each Tesco for Schools & Clubs Voucher ("voucher") is 0.001c.
  6. All orders for equipment and accompanying vouchers must be received by Friday 6th July 2012.
  7. All vouchers (including banked vouchers) will be deemed to have expired on 7th July 2012.
  8. Tesco cannot accept responsibility for vouchers lost, stolen or damaged in the post. Please use a method of postage that will provide proof of delivery.
  9. Orders will only be accepted on the official order form and in accordance with the "Ordering" instructions on page 6 of the catalogue. The original order form cannot be amended once we have received it. Equipment correctly supplied in accordance with the order cannot be exchanged unless faulty. Statutory rights are not affected.
  10. Vouchers will be issued at Tesco stores and petrol filling stations and with Tesco Grocery Home Shopping orders. One voucher will be issued for each €10 spent in a single transaction. Vouchers cannot be claimed for purchases of tobacco, prescription medicines, infant formulae, National Lottery tickets, scratchcards, giftcards and Christmas Saver top-ups.
  11. TFS&C applies to purchases made between 12th March and 20th May 2012 (exclusions apply - refer to point 10). Vouchers will be issued while stocks last. 12. Vouchers can only be redeemed in accordance with the instructions in the catalogue and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
  12. The number of vouchers required for each item is clearly stated in the catalogue. By participating in TFS&C, schools and clubs give consent to Tesco to use their details in local press and publicity materials to promote TFS&C.
  13. Vouchers are, and will remain at all times, the property of Tesco Ireland Limited and may only be redeemed under the Tesco for Schools & Clubs campaign.
  14. Orders will be fulfilled by Research Machines plc and TTS Group.
  15. Where there is any reason to believe there has been a breach of the rules, Tesco Ireland Limited, Research Machines and TTS Group may refuse to process an order.
  16. Equipment ordered will be delivered direct to schools or sports clubs during the Autumn Term 2012. Items that are delivered direct from the manufacturer may take 4-6 weeks longer than this.
  17. All Research Machines products are covered by a Research Machines 12 month warranty. Statutory rights are not affected.
  18. All TTS Group products are covered by a TTS Group 12 month warranty. Statutory rights are not affected.
  19. Tesco Ireland Limited shall not be liable for any damages, claims or costs, however incurred, arising from TFS&C, the use of any equipment supplied pursuant to TFS&C, or by the failure of a school to follow the instructions and guidelines set out in the catalogue. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude liability for personal injury or death caused by its negligence.
  20. Tesco Ireland Limited reserves the right to vary the conditions of TFS&C or to cancel TFS&C at any time.
  21. Schools or sports clubs may organise other bodies/individuals to collect vouchers on their behalf, but no collection of vouchers will be permitted on Tesco premises or within Tesco car parks.
  22. No cash payments will be accepted in exchange for any equipment in the catalogue.
  23. Vouchers may not be transferred between schools, organisations or individuals for monetary payment or any other consideration.
  24. Neither the whole or any part of the information contained, nor the products described in the catalogue, may be adapted or reproduced in any material form except with the prior written approval of Tesco Ireland Limited, Research Machines, TTS Group or the relevant supplier. The products described in the catalogue are subject to continuous development and improvement. All information of a technical nature and particulars of the products and their use have been provided by Research Machines, TTS Group or the relevant supplier and are reproduced in the catalogue in good faith. However, Research Machines, TTS Group and Tesco Ireland Limited cannot accept any liability for any loss or damage arising from any product information or particulars in this atalogue. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude liability for personal injury or death caused by its negligence. Statutory rights are not affected.
  25. Tesco® and the Tesco logo are registered trademarks of Tesco Stores Limited.
  26. All vouchers and orders must be returned to the Backup Marketing Ltd, Rockford House, Deansgrange Road, Blackrock, Co. Dublin by Friday 6th July 2012.
  27. Vouchers from Tesco Computers for Schools or Tesco Sport for Schools & Clubs are not valid for Tesco for Schools & Clubs unless they have already been banked.
  28. In the event of excessive demand, Research Machines and TTS Group reserve the right to provide a suitable alternative of equal or greater value where necessary to avoid disappointment.
  29. The number of vouchers required for each item is clearly stated in the catalogue. In addition to the presentation of the requisite vouchers , the school will pay a nominal amount of €1 for each order placed (for which, an invoice will be issued by Tesco Ireland Ltd – please refer to point 32 below)
  30. By participating in the scheme, schools consent to Tesco using their details in local press and publicity materials to promote the Scheme, in consideration for the sum of €1. Where the school is registered for VAT, an invoice should be issued and accompany the order.
  31. Where Tesco issues an invoice in accordance with 30 above, this amount will be offset by the sum payable at 31 by Tesco Ireland to the schools.
