Tesco Ireland and O2 Ireland Announce Plans For Ireland's First MVNO
Tesco Ireland and O2 Ireland today announced that they will launch Ireland's first mobile virtual network operator (MVNO), called Tesco Mobile in Summer 2007. The new independent company will be a joint venture between Tesco Ireland and O2 Ireland and will use an 089 number prefix.

600 Jobs for North Dublin Distribution Centre
Tesco Ireland today announced that it will be opening a new €70m Distribution Centre at Donabate, North County Dublin bringing 600 jobs to the area.

Tesco open new store in Nenagh
The New Tesco Ireland store in Nenagh was opened today, Thursday 20 July, by Tipperary Hurler Hugh Maloney. Over 130 new staff have been recruited, the majority of these being from the local area.

New 24 hr Tesco Store to opens in Clonmel
The newest Tesco Ireland store - in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary - was officially opened today, Monday June 6 by the town's newest celebrity, Tesco Young Cook of the Year, Peter Clifford and Tipperary Hurler Eoghan Kelly. 124 new staff have been recruited and trained and will join staff from the old store bringing Tesco's total employment in the town to 176 local people.

Tesco opens new store in Edenderry
The New Tesco Ireland store in Edenderry - was opened today, Tuesday 6 June, by Offaly Hurler Karole Slattery. Over 60 new staff have been recruited, and they will join colleagues from the old Tesco store in the town, bringing total employment in Tesco Edenderry to 110 local people.

Tesco Ireland Reports Growth of 16.0% in 2005-06
Tesco Ireland recorded growth of 16.0% in the year to 25 February 2006, with sales increasing by €342 million to €2,487.0 million. The growth is attributed to continuing strong performance in food and non-food sales, supported by continuing price reductions during the year.

Tesco Ireland Donates €1.5 Million to the Irish Hospice Care
Tesco Ireland today (Tuesday, 17th January) presented the Irish Hospice Foundation (IHF) with the largest sum ever raised under the company's "Charity of the Year" programme which has raised millions of euro for community-based Irish charities over the past five years. A cheque for €1.5 million was presented to the IHF and will be used to support local hospice services throughout the country.
