Bord Gáis Energy customers can use Tesco Clubcard vouchers to pay energy bills and earn points to spend on groceries

2 May 2012: Bord Gáis Energy and Tesco have agreed a unique deal that will deliver valuable benefits to their customers by reducing the cost of energy and grocery bills.
There are two main elements to this innovative partnership:
- From the 21st May, Bord Gáis Energy and Tesco customers will be able to use their Tesco Clubcard Deals vouchers to make payments against their energy bills. Every €5 in Tesco Clubcard vouchers will mean €10 off your Bord Gáis Energy bill.
- Later in the year, Bord Gáis Energy customers will earn Tesco Clubcard points for payments made against their energy bills. Details of this element will be announced later in the year.
This deal is the second phase of a newly launched loyalty programme, the Bord Gáis Energy Reward’s Club, which is available at www.bordgaisenergyrewards.ie.
This partnership is designed to deliver genuine value to customers and represents a good fit for both brands, which serve Irish families nationwide. This initiative will be a platform for giving Bord Gáis Energy’s 900,000 customers and Tesco’s 700,000 Clubcard members savings on their energy and grocery bills as a way of rewarding their loyalty to both companies.
