FRAUDULENT EMAIL ALERT - 20th June 2008

It has come to our attention that a number of fraudulent emails are being circulated purporting to be from Tesco.ie. The email states that it is an official notification from Tesco and claims that customer’s will need to enter their email address to verify their account information.

This mail is NOT from Tesco.ie - it is a fraudulent attempt to obtain your banking details.

If you have received this mail DO NOT ENTER ANY DETAILS, forward it to emailalert@tesco.ie and then delete it without clicking on any links or attachments.

Tesco NEVER asks customers to confirm personal details via email.

Do NOT click any links.

Do NOT open any attachments.

Do NOT enter any details.

Forward the email to emailalert@tesco.ie and then delete the email.
