About this Deal

Learn how the pre-Celtic settlers of Ireland lived and farmed around the lake shore and surrounding areas, protected from the elements by the surrounding hills. See archaeological evidence of the activities of the first farmers in the region, their dwellings, rituals and burial sites as well as their tools and implements. This story stretches back over 5,000 years and the visitor centre houses an exhibition of artefacts and display panels as well as an AV show which interprets the area.
